C. S. Munson is a retired Naval Officer and a children’s book writer, illustrator and poet. More known for his paintings depicting emotional and significant events, he has thrust himself into creating his first picture book, Night Night…. an endearing and poetic tale of a child’s pursuit to read his favorite bedtime story. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he began drawing and writing poetry as a young boy. Inspired by early children’s books with whimsical rhymes and lovable characters, C.S. still believes great books can be made. C.S. enjoys a rewarding life with his wife, children and cats in the picturesque community of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. When he's not in creation mode, C.S. is spending time with family, attending church or long distance running.
